The Inner Powers - Instinct and Intuition : Instinct and Intuition are two inner powers of utmost importance in our life. We use these words interchangeably. While they do exist in the same spectrum, there is a crucial difference between the two. Instinct comes from the words - instinctus or impulse , meaning it is a biological tendency . Instinct is not a feeling, but an innate , "hardwired" tendency towards a particular behaviour. An instinct can be defined as a biological force that has the capability to produce a periodical biological urge of a particular type. Instinct is automatic reaction to environmental stimuli that can not be repressed and occur in every individual species. An animal, as soon as it is born , instinctively gets up , walks to it's mother and drinks milk . There is no thinking involved here , it is something that the animal has been programmed to do. When a bowler bowls a bouncer, the batsman reacts instinctively rather than intuitively. Intuition may be defined as understanding or knowing without conscious recourse to thought , observation or reasoning. Intuition is a sudden alignment of neuronal pathways that joins weakly associated concepts, ideas, facts into a neuronal network that may induce a positive somatic reaction experiencing a pleasurable experience from the thought or idea. Intuition is the expression of synchronicity of our inner energy with cosmic energy. Stronger the intuition, better the synchronicity. Both instinct and intuition are very important inner powers to achieve success in life.
