Symbol of Failure to Success - Story of Phoenix Rising From Ashes : In Greek Mythology Phoenix is a long lived bird that is cyclically regenerated or born again. According to the Greek Historian Herodotus( b:487 B.C). The Phoenix was a mythical Bird from Ethiopia. It was spectacularly large , beautiful and adorned with mind blowing plumage. The historian also mentioned that the Phoenix made nest on cypress branches. But not in preparation to lay eggs ; the Phoenix was preparing to die. While sitting in the nest, the bird created a great amount of heat , and set itself on fire from it's own heat with the cypress serving as kindling. After three days , the Phoenix emerged from it's own ashes , reborn and released from the sentence of death, living forever. Because of its ability to die and come back to life , the meaning of Phoenix has a foundation of resurrection. Phoenix symbolises that if continuous failures are achieved in life and lot of hurt and pain is caused, let the ashes of hurt and pain become the launching pad of self awareness , love and strength.
