"Ego is the only requirement to destroy any relationship." So be a bigger person, skip the " e" and let it " go". Ego is a self conceived identity which is the result of a self defensive mechanism to survive in the largely unknown world. It is developed when we are dwelling in a world full of uncertainty. As we are a part of the Cosmic Energy, as long we are in synchronicity with it we are drenched with inner happiness. But if we are in a state of disharmony with Cosmic Energy, it is like a free fall in a world of uncertainty, we try to cling on to anything which we consider as our strength and try to survive. In doing so we over project our strength as a defense mechanism. This over projection results into a " Balooned Personality", where the Manifestation of our perception shows a bigger shadow of our inner self due to an artificial pumping in order to make our clinging in the uncertain world rock solid. In fact, ego is an effort to win over our inner fear. Egoistic people are internally very shaky. Though Self Esteem and Ego are in general considered synonymous, there is a tremendous difference between the two. Self esteem is the well judged aspect of our personality strengths where as Ego is the artificially pumped self projection of a particular aspect of our personality- especially those aspects where our self judged image is low and we are scared that if corrective measures are not taken it will get exposed.
