It is an over reaction of our inner turmoil where we want to find solace in something ( We think ) we are good at by boosting and over projecting it. In doing so , many of the times we behave as if we are " Supreme" and others are inferior. Ego prompts us to reject any advice of improvement. It closes our mind and obstructs us to see the point of view of other person. Deepak Chopra , a well known Spiritual Leader and famous author has written , " The ego relies on familiar . It is reluctant to experience the unknown , which is the very essence of life ". Self Esteem reflects a person's overall subjective evaluation of his or her own worth. It is Judgement of oneself as well as one's attitude towards self. Astro Psychological Analysis of a person can reveal the hidden ego of a person if following Astrological combinations are observed : 1) Sun with associated Mercury placed within 0° to 5° from Sun.Nearer the Mercury will be to Sun, the more combust it will be giving rise to deeper level of insecurities and higher level of over projection of self. 2) Debilitated Sun aspected by Debilitated Saturn , Rahu or Ketu 3) If the 3 rd house of the Astrological chart has malefic Configuration of planets. Astro Psychologically the nature of self esteem possessed by a person is revealed by following - 1) Placement of exhalted Moon /Mercury /Jupiter/ Venus in 1st house of Astrological chart or aspect of these planets ( placed in own house or exhalted). In these cases , self esteem will be dignified. 2) Exhalted Mars /Saturn/ Rahu / Ketu in first house or their aspect on 1st house will give proud self respect .
